ERLANGER, KY. — A local candy factory is teaming up with the non-profit Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank to give back to families in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Throughout the next few months, over 600 employees at Perfetti Van Melle, home to Airheads candy, are helping wrap and process more than five-hundred-thousand diaper packs and ten thousand hygiene kits for low-income families.
Organizers say it’s important to take time and give back to the community.
“We want to make sure that families have all of those hygiene products that we can provide so that they don’t have to choose and then they have more cash for food, for bills, for paying utilities,” said the CEO of Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank, Megan Fischer.
“This has always been a part of our values as a company, our value for care for people and for us that’s not only our employees but also the communities where we live and work,” said President and CEO of Perfetti Van Melle, Sylvia Buxton.
